Air Serbia’s 30-millionth passenger since its tebranding in 2013
The national airline of the Republic of Serbia has carried its 30-millionth passenger since 2013 when it began operating under the name Air Serbia. The passenger, Saša Krzman, boarded flight JU532 from Belgrade to Athens when he heard his name announced over the loudspeaker, learning that he was the milestone passenger of the Serbian national airline. The pleasant surprise was complemented by a gift in the form of a free round-trip ticket to any destination in Air Serbia's network. The gift ticket was presented to the 30-millionth passenger by the company's CEO, Jiri Marek.
"Month after month, the Serbian national airline is breaking records in the number of passengers carried. August was our most successful month since we began operating under our new name and brand, and on the last day of that month, we carried our 3-millionth passenger of the current year. On the eve of the company’s 11th anniversary, we welcomed the 30-millionth passenger on today’s flight to Athens. This remarkable success didn’t come overnight but is the result of the great effort we invest daily to achieve our goals. We would like to thank all our passengers for the trust they show us every day, as well as our employees for their dedication, commitment, and engagement, which make our plans a reality,” said Jiri Marek, CEO of the Serbian national airline.
Air Serbia will celebrate 11 years of operations on 26 October 2024. At present, the company employs more than 1,500 people and has a fleet of 27 aircraft, including 10 ATR 72-600 aircraft, two Embraer E-195 aircraft, 10 Airbus A319-100 aircraft, three Airbus A320-200 aircraft, and two Airbus A330-200 aircraft for long-haul flights. A third Airbus A330-200, with registration code YU-ARD, decal in the colours and emblems of the specialised EXPO 2027 exhibition, will soon arrive in Belgrade. Thanks to its unique livery, this aircraft will promote Serbia and the national airline around the world.
